I've been away from this blog for far too long, and I thought it was well past time I caught you guys up on what I'm working on.
The Shadow Legions
Crimson Worlds Book 7 will out the first week in January. Yes, I know it was supposed to be out the end of December, but I made some last minute revisions. Books 7, 8, and 9 all cover one big, climactic storyline, and I tinkered a little. That means re-editing some sections, and hence the very brief delay.
The Gates of Hell
The last of the three Crimson Worlds prequels will be out in mid-January. Tombstone followed Jax and Bitter Glory followed Admiral Garret. The Gates of Hell is a story from General Holm's past...and it links well with The Shadow Legions.
The Farthest Stars
Crimson Worlds Refugees
Many (many, many) of you have written me and asked if there was some way Admiral Compton and the trapped fleet might have escaped. A few of you even proposed possible strategies that might have been employed. As it so happens, you all created your own spoiler alerts, I have always planned a trilogy of novels following Compton and his band of refugees. Look for book one sometime the first half of next year.
The Ten Thousand
Portal Worlds II
I've been besieged with emails about the second book in the Portal Wars series. For those of you who have read and enjoyed Gehenna Dawn, the follow up will be out sometime fairly early next year. It's too soon to give a firm release date, but sometime around March-April is a good bet.
Dragon Rising
This is the first book of a series set in the near future. I'm not going to give too much away this early, but let's just say it explores some creative World War III scenarios.
And of course...Crimson Worlds VIII will be coming out as well, though I'm not going to say anything until Shadow Legions is out.
More to come on these books and on others planned for later in 2014.
