It is hard to ignore similarities, not in the telling or content, to another of my favorite space operas that began with The Lost Fleet:Dauntless. <br />After finishing the amazing 10th book Nightfall it seems that the two series could perhaps be separated by time. I don't know if I am right but the first thing to peak my interest was obviously the names of the battleships. After reading through what I have finished of Jack Campbell's series I cant help but think that Blood on the Stars perhaps takes a few centuries after. Now that I think about it, perhaps I missed a book or two that links the two epic series.
